Our most important responsibility is to maintain the integrity of the 123-year-old beautiful Jewish synagogue that was deconsecrated in 2009, opening the way for it to become the historical museum.

We still maintain the Torah scroll mantle, cantor and rabbi seats, podium, Menorah and many others items. The Yahrtzeit memorial wall is also intact and the candles still work!! The synagogue houses an array of historical artifacts both donated and loaned to the society for display.

Volunteers work in the museum on Tuesday and Thursday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m and the 1st Saturday of the month from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Special tours can be arranged by appointment.

Society members are also volunteers committed to preserving the past for future generations!
